Salary: £23,809 – £26,158 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Two-Year Fixed Term
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including occasional evenings and weekends)
North Riding County FA is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Communications Officer to join its team. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to play a pivotal role in enhancing the image, profile, and reputation of the organisation while supporting the delivery of The FA Grassroots Football Strategy and the North Riding FA Business Strategy.
The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and review of all marketing and communications functions. They will manage the organisation's brand, oversee digital platforms including the website and social media, and coordinate printed publications. Building strong relationships with local media and stakeholders will be key, as will supporting clubs and leagues with marketing advice and safeguarding communications.
This role also involves promoting safeguarding standards, engaging with youth audiences, and ensuring inclusive, child-friendly messaging across all channels. The officer will contribute to public events, manage commercial partnerships, and deliver customer excellence programmes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the North Riding FA brand and communications strategy
- Overseeing digital and print media channels
- Supporting FA campaigns and safeguarding communications
- Engaging with youth audiences and promoting inclusive messaging
- Coordinating public events and awards
- Providing marketing support to grassroots clubs and leagues
Person Specification:
- A qualification in marketing and education to A Level or equivalent
- Strong project management, communication, and IT skills
- Experience in digital and traditional marketing channels
- Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, and grassroots football structures
- A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel
