Coach Development Officer – Leicestershire & Rutland County FA
- Salary: Starting from £26,000 per annum
- Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week (some evening and weekend work required)
- Location: Holmes Park, Dog and Gun Lane, Whetstone, LE8 6FA (with travel around the county and some home working)
About the Role
Leicestershire & Rutland County FA is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to join its team as a Coach Development Officer.
This full-time permanent role will play a vital part in growing and supporting the coaching workforce across Leicestershire and Rutland. By working with England Football Accredited Clubs, Coaching Leads, and community partners, the appointed individual will ensure that every coach has access to meaningful learning, mentoring, and development opportunities that create positive experiences for every player.

Key Responsibilities
The Coach Development Officer will lead the growth and sustainability of high-quality coaching and coach development opportunities across the county. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering Coach Developer Training and mentoring for Club Coaching Leads
- Recruiting, managing and supporting a diverse team of Casual Coach Developers
- Coordinating and delivering a County-wide Coach Development Programme that supports coaches at all levels of the game
- Building strong relationships with clubs, leagues, schools, local authorities and FA Regional staff to grow and sustain a representative coaching workforce
- Delivering on the LRCFA Youth Engagement Plan, including leading on the Young Leaders Programme
This work will directly impact thousands of coaches, players and volunteers, helping to shape an inclusive and thriving football community.
Candidate Profile
