The Role

The ESFA is the national governing body for football in schools in England and is an incorporated charity as well as a Membership Association.  The Board of Trustees is seeking to create an Inclusion Advisory Network (IAN) to take strategic oversight of its EDI plans and ambitions, and to provide advice and guidance on all EDI and anti-discrimination matters. The first point in this process is to appoint an independent Chair of the IAN to help frame and lead the work of the IAN

The successful candidate will be a passionate about EDI and have a proven track record in operating in this field at a strategic level in either the charitable or public sector, preferably at national level. You will bring a breadth and depth of knowledge or experience in equality  matters.

This is an exciting, but challenging opportunity with the incentive of shaping national inclusion work and positively impacting on the landscape of schools' football at every level.

The ESFA is committed to safeguarding and the successful candidate may be required to underate an DBS through the FA's DBS process. Checks on candidates' online profiles may be undertaken as part of the selection process.

The closing date for applications is 22nd June at 9am. Interviews will take place on 11th July and shortlisted candidates will be contacted during w/c 30th July.
